The quinua or quinoa ( kínua Quechua or kinuwa ), Chenopodium quinoa, is a pseudocereal chenopodioideae belonging to the subfamily of the Amaranthaceae. It is grown mainly in the Andes. The main producing countries are Bolivia and Peru. Quinoa is grown in the Bolivian Andes, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, as well as the Altiplano and sea level in the south-central Chile, since 5000 years.Like the potato, was one of the main food of the southern peoples, pre-Inca and Inca Andean.

Maca ( Lepidium meyenii Lepidium peruvianum Walpers = G.Chacón ) is a native annual or biennial herbaceous plant of the Andes of Peru , where it is grown for its edible hypocotyl. Other common names are also Maino, chichira ayak, ayak willku. In addition to its food use , it argues that its roots have properties that enhance fertility. Andean people since ancient times used it to improve their physical and mental abilities.
