The quinua or quinoa ( kínua Quechua or kinuwa ), Chenopodium quinoa, is a pseudocereal chenopodioideae belonging to the subfamily of the Amaranthaceae. It is grown mainly in the Andes. The main producing countries are Bolivia and Peru. Quinoa is grown in the Bolivian Andes, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, as well as the Altiplano and sea level in the south-central Chile, since 5000 years.Like the potato, was one of the main food of the southern peoples, pre-Inca and Inca Andean.
